Learn more about the Division's Poverty Intervention Committee

Did You Know that Lethbridge School Division has a Poverty Intervention Committee (PIC)?
As a committee of the Board of Trustees of Lethbridge School Division, PIC was developed to improve access to learning through advocacy, direct services and increased awareness to identify and reduce
barriers experienced by students within Lethbridge School Division in relation to financial hardship.
What Kind of Things Does This Committee Provide?
Students/families can access:
- Emergency Food Bundles (Weekends and More-
- WAM BAGS)
- Winter Attire - including boots, coats, snowpants, gloves and toques
- Indoor Shoes
- Hygiene Supplies
- Basic Clothing - underwear, socks

How Are These Supports Funded?
Through generous support of our business and community members in the form of donations.
To get an idea of how your donation would assist, $5 buys a pair of gloves for student, $15 buys a pair of gloves, toque and scarf for a student, $50 buys a winter jacket and $65 covers the cost of an emergency food hamper.
